Did you hear the news? I’m a giveaway winner!

I’ve been following Annie Selke’s blog, Fresh American, for a while now. I’ve really enjoyed reading about her latest renovation project, and I’ve been tracking the contests and giveaways they’ve been running too—good stuff!

The post on their latest giveaway, “Clumbering Along,” featured lots of photos of über-cute Clumbers, like this one:

Readers had the chance to win the gorgeous Aquinnah Throw from Dash & Albert below by simply commenting on the post and naming their favorite dog breed. As you might guess, for me this was a no-brainer: Clumbers, of course!

Well, guess what? On Monday I received an email saying that mine was the winning comment. They picked me! Happy day!

I received the throw in the mail today, and it’s just lovely. It even came wrapped up in a sweet “Dash & Albert” ribbon! I love the fresh colors. My photo doesn’t do it justice—the throw is even prettier in real life.

Clumbers play an integral role in Dash & Albert branding. Check out this handsome guy on the label:

“Go with the Throw.” Pretty cute, I have to say.

I have put my lovely prize in the little reading nook in my kitchen. The colors echo some of the colors in my mom’s art work which I have up on the walls—like this pretty still life:

It’s a great addition to my little reading nook. The colors are so cheerful, and I know the throw will really come in handy too once the weather turns cooler again.

Thank you, Fresh American! I LOVE my new throw!

P.S. Archie sends a big THANK YOU too!

  1. Congratulations on your win! What a score. It’s amazing how well the throw compliments the painting, it’s almost as if Dash & Albert poached your mother’s palette. My favourite part of the post is the picture of Lord Archer. What a handsome fellow he is.

  2. Wow! What a fantastic prize, and it looks just right in your home! I love the color palette. Found you via BYW…your blog is very cool and has a great style that is not cut from a mold. I’ll be coming back!

    1. Hi Amy, thank you so much for your kind comment — it’s great to have a fellow BYW classmate AND fellow Pennsylvanian stop by. 🙂 Fresh American is running some amazing prizes lately — given your love of textiles, you might want to check it out… I visited your blog, and those wristlets you made for the wedding are lovely. I wish I had your sewing talents!!
